nostalgia,REWIND

When describing the target audience for this branding project, my boss at the time had made the following notes when meeting the client. 

“This event is all about nostalgia, remembering great tunes and times with your mates. Crowd tends to be the slightly cooler than the average club-goer but not too edgy/underground or glam/insta-influencer wanna-bes. They want to dance, have fun, carry on. But still cool, fashionable. Not d!@#heads or muzzas. Enjoy the experience.”


And with that amazing tidbit of context in mind, the identity came together with the 80’s salient colour palette and a rewind button to bring the nostalgia in, and modern typefaces to speak to the cool, fashionable, non-muzza d!@#heads.
